The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its most significant advancement is an obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often go through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.

The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't clean in areas you don’t wish to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can control it from start to stop with your voice.

The design is also better than the other models. It has an elegant, top piece that appears like an toy, not the loud and annoying robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ quickly removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able to capture small gravel, sand and even a tiny bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot achieve this feat. And all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.

While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The J7+ is a solid option for those who require both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and sometimes it's hard to determine if the update is actually working until you see it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the ideal choice. These bots are equipped with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're costly at full retail but often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ doesn't disappoint. It's their cheapest auto-empty model. While it lacks some of the premium features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.

The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It is also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is an area that most robot vacuums of lower quality aren't able to meet. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is fantastic as well, with only a few missing in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via just a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. Through the app, you can begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map or change the labels of rooms.

If you select the Q5+ it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once in place, emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It also features a large LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't required for most people but it can help you to keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and its size is relatively compact. It can store clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require this.

And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's the few robovacs I've tested that do an excellent job of cleaning up debris from unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it can get stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms in the house. It also can't climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.

While it doesn't offer the same amount of cleaning options available in its app or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still a top choice for those looking for an all-around great best robot hoover vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price price.

But if you want to save some money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many alternatives on the market with a wide range of eufy models priced significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and offers a similar in-app experience with more features, including stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpeted floors, as well as mopping capabilities at an affordable price. It's easy to set up, just attach one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app walks you through the steps needed to connect it to your Wi-Fi, and the G30 is ready to go. The dock must be located near an outlet with enough space to move.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise It can be tucked away under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design isn't as ostentatious in comparison to other models. It has a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern over two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.

The main feature that sets the G30 apart from its competitors is the method it cleans. It uses an integrated map to create an image of the immovable items that are in its path. It keeps track of the things it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It will return to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.

The elegant G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life while offering better performance on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin, which does not require as much emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30, on the other hand is less expensive and much easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with heavy materials such as cereal.
