It had a difficult time when it came across carpets with longer piles, and some thick, long messes with dried-on debris.

Like many robots like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to take off from the box and only requires an initial mapping session to learn its way around your home. The map will be displayed in the app, and you can add or merge rooms as needed. You can also set up virtual boundaries areas, no-go zones and no-mop areas if you don't wish the robot vacuum best to get into certain items.
