It comes with advanced options for customising the cleaning schedule, such as choosing a specific time to begin and end each cycle or selecting whether it should vacuum carpets before mopping. It can be programmed to re-clean areas that are dirty and to boost suction around cat litter and pet food bowls. The X40 Ultra is programmable to accomplish specific tasks, such as cleaning a kitchen sink or bathroom toilet. However, it did struggle a little when encountering carpets with a longer pile and also several large, thick piles of dried-on debris.

Like all robots like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to come out of the box and only requires the initial mapping run to get it used to your home. The map will be displayed in the app, and you can add or join rooms as you need to. You can also design virtual boundaries areas, no-go zones and no-mop areas if you don't want the robot to touch specific items.

The S1 Pro does a great job of removing messes from hard floors due to its rotary mop head that exerts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability both to vacuum and mop makes it an excellent choice for homes that have floors of both types. However, its reliance on Eufy cleaning products (which are included in the box), can make it less versatile than other robots which allow you to use your own cleaning solutions.
