However, they do have a few flaws, however, that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is its navigation system doesn't have AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to get stuck on shoes and socks and could not navigate densely packed rooms very well during our tests. It also doesn't come with a camera that would let it see the corners of an area.

It's the only robotic vacuum/mop to score an exemplary 10/10 in our tests due to a mix of high-tech sensors, including cameras, a structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it has an industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.

As with other iRobot models as well, the X40 is easy to use, offering an easy mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit as well as Google Assistant. The only issue is that it's still quite loud, which can be a problem if you run it in the morning before work or at night as you try to fall asleep.

It's also a bit costly but not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally impressive and attractive. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's very capable however it will cost you more and create more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the high-end robot automatic vacuum and mop robot and mop. It has a number of advanced features that make you forget about your chores.
