She did mention that it's not a good idea to rock a baby younger because it can cause an unhealthy sleep pattern that can be difficult to overcome later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib that was designed with a secure night's rest in mind. It comes with an adjustable side rail that can be easily adjusted to feed your child during the night without disturbing them or getting out of bed. This is ideal for breastfeeding mothers! It's also lightweight, making it easy to move around the house during nap time and when traveling.

We love that it's made of soft fabrics with breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and ease of use. It is available in charcoal or oak with a variety of melange fabrics that blend with all styles of decor. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure once attached to her bed. The legs slid into place and the zippers were secure to ensure safety. It took Anna approximately 10 minutes to put it together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer support number if you encounter any issues.

In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a crib for your bed such as the ability to connect to your existing bed with a stay-in place connection system and six levels of height, the CoZee has an additional incline option that can be used to help alleviate reflux or congestion in babies. It's also machine washable, a necessity for all the dribbles and vomit that comes with having a baby!

The CoZee is an excellent choice if you want to keep your child in the first six months of acquiring the ability to sleep independently. It can be used as a changing station, cot or toddler bed. It can even be converted into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. While it won't be able to magically bring your baby to sleep or feed them, it can rock the baby and take them to school.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of the more expensive options. It does have many great features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper, or a standalone crib that is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It comes with a new mechanism to open and close the side panel. It's easy to operate even with one hand. It's also more flexible than its predecessor, with 11 different height levels and feet that retract to fit under any bed.

Our testers were impressed with the simple access the side panel provides that can be lowered and raised with just one push of a button. This was especially helpful at night, as they could reach inside and pick up their baby without waking them.

The side panel can be lifted on its own however, it's not advised as it increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system ensures that the side panel will stay down if it is attached correctly to the parent's mattress. This feature is great to have peace of mind when you breastfeed and require frequent night feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers due to the legs that can be telescopic. It also has a tilting function to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking feature to soothe them back to sleep after feeding. It's also very large bedside cot and offers excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, however it does have quite an extensive instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers but it can still be easily moved from one area to another. It's also small enough to fit into a travel cot bedside crib bag when not in use which is an advantage when you have to transport it. The only negative our test subjects found was that the side panel did not move as much as other models. This made it a little harder to see the baby from your bed.

The kit for conversion to cot (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear instructions and everything you need to get started. It took us about an hour to assemble and was fairly simple to put together. The only issue was the lack of captions written on a few images, which made it difficult to understand some of the steps. Overall, the process was easy and the materials used were of top quality.
