World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will take on 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item's level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading, item Upgrader Kit or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before a component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a specific kind of upgrade component that is used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade may be prefixed or a suffix, modifying the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for examplethe "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by buying them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals per.

The player can get a maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will drop at the time of the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their equipment even if they are unsure how much it can be improved upon the reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly, and it is possible that the item will be obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that increase or even eliminate the possibility of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded various ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

You'll often see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes much faster.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the many Glyphs, and there are also a few rare Glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Using a Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs near key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system lets players increase the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level requires a different number of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item gets upgraded.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, item Upgrader kit or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player improves an Item upgrader kit it will be replaced by an item that is new. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This can be a downside, as the item can be more expensive even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a totally different set of bonuses. This can be useful but it shouldn't be done often as it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player continuously enters or leaves the water. It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is very valuable in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The item upgrader allows players to raise the level of their equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and armor) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the Best item upgrader, and upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear that can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go to its original state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained, such as crit chance attack damage, additional effects (such as increased heal over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that, should a weapon gain an increase in its crit chance, the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are based on its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For example, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will need to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the expenses listed above.
