Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, isn't as impressive. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most notable for its enormous dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning robot mop and vacuum and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as an 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't too bad except for the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for the market that is dominated by boxes.
