WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random additional substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll to get a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item upgrader kit is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For example upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which will show a preview of the item level upgrade when it is upgraded if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves.
