This budget-friendly choice from a well-known upstart brand is the cheapest robot we've tested yet and offers an incredible value for money. The basic navigation system employs an extremely basic random pathing algorithm that isn't equipped with room mapping capabilities, making it less time efficient than other models on this list. However, it's still able to reach under furniture and in corners, and its mopping mode worked very well during our tests and was able to pick up pet hair and other debris effortlessly.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ isn't as well-built as the Roomba S9, but it does better overall at getting rid of pet hair on all surfaces. It clears bare floors more thoroughly and does a fair job on carpets with a low pile and utilizes smart-pathing navigational technology to provide superior maneuverability. It can be positioned to a specific location, and comes with a range of advanced automation options, including no-go zones and schedules. It can even stop and restart the cleaning process, so it's perfect for households with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent knots and holds up to 30 day's worth of dirt. It also has a set of side brushes that are angled to go deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system can capture dust, dander, and allergens to ensure a healthier air.

The robot vacuum feels sturdy and well-constructed, and it works with a smartphone app that lets you change the settings for your vacuum and plan cleaning sessions in advance. The app lets you view the remaining battery life of the iQ and send push notifications for any problems it encounters during its cleaning session.
