1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available. It uses lidar to navigate, create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set schedules and customize the S1's behavior.

The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which comprises flooring in the dining area, kitchen, and bathrooms and a carpet in the middle and a large area. It was able to drive right up to walls without hitting them, and even managed to traverse thresholds for rooms that are raised without problem, but it sometimes had trouble navigating down stairs in a single step. The S1 also did a great job cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on the flat side against the floor and then lifting itself when it reached carpet or rugs.

The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated waters prior to every mopping session. The dock also provides a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for around twelve cleaning sessions before it has to be empty, but this can vary based on how often you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure it is operating efficiently. You'll need to periodically rinse out the tank that has been contaminated to prevent it from becoming clogged. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from getting clogged by dirt or dust. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.

Its navigation abilities are also decent, but it could get stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Its mopping is quite excellent, too, with a pair of spinning mops that actually lift and scrub the floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad over it. The mops can also be cleaned using heated water and dried in the basestation when required. The mops are also replenished at the top of the station when required.

3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their latest flagship model is packed with impressive features. It is a great cleaner and is easy to maintain. This makes it a contender for our list of the best robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush guarantee a thorough, custom-designed clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and small particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned our tests' most filthy areas well, and keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other dirt. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by a side brush that swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that is placed along baseboards.
