1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It uses AI to identify objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can instruct the robot to stay clear of it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean in areas you don’t wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.

The design is also better than the competition. It features a sleek, high-end piece that appears like a toy rather than an obnoxious and loud robot vacuum ebay. And the Clean Base automatic vacuum cleaners Dirt Disposal System self-empties and is ideal to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests, the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it on the floor. It even could capture sand and small gravel that other robots can't. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

The j7+, though not as intelligent as the Roomba S9, which costs $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, is still a good option for those who want both mopping and a vacuum. It's not expensive, automated vacuum cleaner and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's difficult to tell whether the update actually working until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner (Get Source) that can do more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably one that is a hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also come with various additional features such as smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They're expensive at full retail but often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice for those who are willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like wall legs and table legs which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning dust bunnies. This is a area where most expensive robot vacuum robot vacuums of lower quality do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses along walls or in corners.

The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or re-label rooms.

If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make this machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place, emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It also comes with a large LCD display, which is nice to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people but it can aid in keeping the track of your robot's maintenance intervals easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is among the best automatic floor cleaner in the industry however, it's costly.

The base station looks nice and is easily hidden when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The primary selling point of the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions, and chores that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. Many other robots require you to do this.

And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's the few robovacs I've tested that do a really good job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially in the area of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, meaning it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't provide as many in terms of cleaning options available in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price cost.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums that offer the perfect combination of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpeted floors, as well as mopping functions for a low cost. It's easy to set up, just connect one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then connect the charging dock. The app guides you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be located near an outlet with plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it will be tucked away under couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little less ostentatious than some rival models, and features sleek black finishes and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.

The main characteristic that sets the G30 apart from its competitors is the method it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to draw a picture of the immovable items in its path. It keeps track of the items it has cleaned and where it cannot access. When it needs to recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it started.

The sleek G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, has similar battery life and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin, which doesn't require more emptying. It also comes with border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand is more affordable and much easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as often and has less trouble with bulky materials like cereal.
