3. iRobot Roomba X40

With a sleek, circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba than the competition's boxes This robot vacuum and mop combo is among the most appealing looking in our evaluations. The newest model from iRobot is its most advanced model, with features that are cutting-edge like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology and future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's the only robotic vacuum/mop to score an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors, which include a camera, structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot vacuums that mop in our tests that can completely self-refill and empty its base station and boasts an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.

As with other iRobot models like the X40 is easy to use, offering an intuitive mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only issue is that it's still quite a noisy unit which could be problematic if you run it in the morning before work or at night as you try to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, though it's not as pricey as Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are equally powerful and more attractive. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's extremely powerful, but it's more expensive and create more noise.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The vacuum has a suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to get the job done. It also has "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vacuum works and also alters the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house according to the amount of dirt they are.

For bigger homes, it's worth opting for one with zone or spot cleaning modes that let you tell the robot to clean one particular area of your house by using the app or voice controls. A stair mode can be useful if you own a large furniture.
