Seats

The majority of 3 wheeled buggy wheel double buggies are designed as single pushchairs. However, some models can be converted to accept a second seat with adapters. Some models allow you to add an extra board to older children who are able to walk, but still need some help.

It can hold twins from birth and accommodate two car seats as well as a carrycot and seat. However, the seats have to be oriented forward and there's not enough space for a shopping bag underneath which is why you'll need a sidepack to do this.

It's an all-terrain model with a soft suspension that can easily handle bumpy surfaces. It can be used in 30 seating configurations, and includes a built-in ride-on for older children who prefer to walk, and a 'cinema seating' mode which raises the back seat for better visibility.

Alternatively, the phil&teds dot is a fantastic single buggy that is available from day one that is able to easily be adapted to take 2 (or strollers 3 wheels!) different configurations. This is particularly useful if you have a baby in your car. The frame can be affixed to a wedgie that allows for optimal lie-flat positioning. Or car seat adapters that fit a wide range of brands.

Suspension

The suspension of a double 3 wheel stroller lightweight wheel buggy will determine the ease with which you and your child/children can push it. A smooth ride is essential because babies feel every bump on the road, especially when it's on rough terrain like grass or paths that aren't paved. Some models also come with locking front wheels to help with maneuvering and getting over obstacles such as curbs.

Certain models come with air-filled tyres that are ideal for all-terrain rides, but they are susceptible to punctures. Be sure to keep an extra set of tyres in the trunk. Certain models come with foam or gel-filled tyres that are designed to absorb bumps. They can be less likely to puncture, but they might be uncomfortable for your child if you decide to jog.

"It navigated effortlessly across grass and bumpy sidewalks cobbles, dirt, and tracks and was easy for me to navigate around corners and get up or down kerbs." Folding

A three-wheel double buggy can fold very well to be stored.
