One of the weaknesses of the Q5 is its navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to become stuck on socks and shoes and couldn't navigate through rooms with a lot of people well during our tests. It doesn't also come with a camera to look around corners.

It's still a good deal, especially if your office or home has lots of unfinished floors and you want to save some money. It's also quiet and works when you're at work or at school. The only thing it doesn't have that you won't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. If you want to, you can swap the mopping pad to dry ones in a matter of minutes.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into a sleek, compact package. Its quick navigation and smart cleaning maps make it simple to clean and efficient in taking on larger particles, such as pet hair. It also features self-emptying dustbins as well as powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It can also clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is something we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum that mops vacuum/mop combination.

3. Roomba X40 from iRobot

This robot vacuum and mop combination has a sleek, circular look that looks more like the regular Roomba model than the boxy models of the competitors. It is one of our most attractive looking robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is also among its most advanced. It features advanced features such as enhanced dirt detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that is able to wash mop pads autonomously).

It's the only robotic hoovers vacuum/mop that scored an exemplary 10/10 in our evaluations due to a mix of high-tech sensors, which include cameras, a structured lighting system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation in a self-contained manner. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mops.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to use. It comes with an intuitive mobile app interface that is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that it's still quite a noisy unit that could be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work or in the evening as you attempt to sleep.

It's also a bit costly however, not as much as the Ecovacs S8 MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally capable and better looking. If you're willing to live with a bit more noise and some additional cost it's a capable two-in-one that should please almost everyone.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the best robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of advanced features that make you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine, similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically empty the vacuum's bin and refills the water tank, as well as washes and dry mop pads.

The smart robot makes use of a combination of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and spot obstacles, and navigates more effectively than its more expensive competitors. And it's highly self-sufficient with a full-featured application and an auto-emptying, washable base.

The iRobot app is designed to guide you through the mapping process that collects data on your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, set up the perfect spot for cleaning or sort out your rooms with the most dirt for better performance. The app also grants access to a variety of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, which means it is able to reach corners and under furniture more easily. It also has a strong 8000 Pascal suction and combs that are intelligent for pet hair. It also has the ability to set up a spot clean that scours a specific area.
