Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by much. The rotating mop spins at a high velocity and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into tight corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to scoop up larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and performs well however this is something that you'll have to be aware of if you're buying this robot autonomous vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
