However, unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we evaluated the i3+ doesn't have obstacle-avoidance capabilities which means it can get stuck on things such as socks or power cords and it may have trouble navigating across surface transitions, such as from hardwood to rug.

iRobot suggests cleaning the area around the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or clutter it might come across. It's also a good idea to keep the dust bin and filter clean so that they do not become blocked by dirt. We were also impressed with the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to start, stop, or pause cleaning sessions and also to move around the room, and to vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. Once connected, to voice commands to the i7+ for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.
